#TeamNoSleep

One of my biggest issues with my creativity is that I get my best ideas at the worst times...like when I'm trying to sleep. So, for that past several weeks I've been sleep deprived. For the students that translates into an exciting Fall semester; for my coworkers random projects; for my supervisor a few shakes of his head; for library administration a few calls to the office; and for me endless posts to social media sites seeking input, raving about students' success, and an opportunity to finally sleep.

I know it's been over a week since I announced my returned to the world of blogging, but there was so much going on I didn't know where to start. Here's a brief recap:

Shelf-reading project
Reports
New policy and procedures manual for Information Literacy
Quarterly statistics of IL department...along with a summary
Meetings, meetings, meetings, and a few more meetings...most of which were fairly productive
Revising the IL instruction request form
Reading and finding a way to implement the ACRL's new framework for Information Literacy to be implemented THIS fall
Planning a SOLE session to update Library staff on all out changes
Creating new IL brochures for the different colleges (I actually had a little help on this one)
Creating marketing tools for LibGuides...look out New Faculty Orientation

Hopefully you guys are all caught up with my work life over the past week and a half...whew, I'm exhausted. I'm sure I inadvertently omitted a couple things, but that's life when you're #teamnosleep By the way, I did actually get some rest last night. All thanks to sweet 6.7 oz. baby Jesus and that Ambien I was saving for a rainy day. Until next time folks...

It's Official...the Procrastanista is Back

So a little more than a year after this project began I've completed a whopping 4 entries...pathetic, I know. The past year has definitely been a busy one for me if that's any consolation for anyone that's missed me. I've managed to go out on a few limbs, fall off said limbs, try to redefine myself and ultimately climb a completely different tree. In this profession I've found this is absolutely necessary from time to time. A little reinvention/adaptation/metamorphosis of sorts. Truthfully, I probably should have done it sooner. Anyway, I just want you guys to know I'm back and ready to give this blogging thing a go once more.
